WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The NEC has announced its weekly award winners for week one of the 2026 college football season, featuring New Haven Football's
Liam Quigley (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Govenor Livingston) as the choice for Special Teams Player of the Week.
Quigley drilled three field goals, including two from over 30 yards, and converted on both extra point attempts en route to a thrilling 22-21 win over Marist on Friday night at Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium.
AJ Duffy (St. Augustine, Fla./Rancho Verde) and
Issac Glaudin (Queens, N.Y./Holy Cross High) were named Prime Performers following strong opening performances.
Quigley and New Haven are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 5, as the Blue & Gold host NEC foe Stonehill College. Kickoff is set for noon.
