2023-24: One of two players to start and play all 29 games on the season … Finished the year second on the team in scoring with an average of 16.0 ppg, while adding 4.2 rebounds per game, 33 assists and was third on the team with 28 steals … Closed out the season shooting 46.1 percent from the field (159-345), while leading the way from outside the arc going 73-of-186 for 39.2 percent … Also led the team at the free throw line where he was 74-of-88 for 84.1 percent … His 73 three pointers in 2023-24 was the eighth most in a single season at New Haven … Finished all but two of the 29 games in double figures, collecting 20+ points five times, including a career-high 32 points in his final collegiate game against Saint Anselm (Mar. 1) when he shot 12-of-18 from the field, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc against the Hawks, with the six three pointers made a career-high … His longest streak of the season in double figures stretch 14 games and was capped off with his first 20+ performance of the season with 25 at home against Saint Rose (Jan. 20), nearly completing a double double with nine boards … Also finished one rebound shy of a double double on the road at Saint Anselm (Feb. 21) when he finished with 19 points and nine rebounds … One game prior, set a career-high at the free throw line when he went 11-of-13 at the stripe against American International (Feb. 17) … Earned Academic Honors accolades on the Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll following the Spring 2024 semester. 2022-23: One of three players to start all 34 games on the season … Closed out the year third on the team in scoring with 428 points for an average of 12.6 per game … Also added 4.1 rebounds per game, 44 assists, 17 steals and four blocks … Led the team from beyond the three-point arc with a career-high 87 three pointers, which was second most in the NE10, 26th most in all of NCAA D2 and second most in a single season at UNH … Led the NE10 in three point attempts and was fourth in the conference in three point field goal percentage (36.6) and three point field goal per-game average (2.56) … Opened up the season scoring in double figures in 12 of the first 13 games, including his first of two 20 point performances in the season-opener against Saint Michael’s (Nov. 16) with 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting … Wrapped up that season-opening streak with a season-high 25 points playing a full 40 minutes against Saint Anselm (Jan. 7) when he shot 10-of-13 from the field while adding six rebounds … Had a late season streak of nine-straight games in double figures which included the first three games on the NE10 Championship, the best of which was 21 points in the NE10 quarterfinals against Southern Connecticut (Feb.26) … Overall, finished 26 games scoring in double figured and added a season-best 11 rebounds once against Georgian Court as he closed out that game with his only double double of the season adding 10 points.
2021-22: Only player to start all 27 games on the year … Finished the season third on the team in scoring at 13.2 points per game, and third in rebounding at 4.6 rebounds per game … Closed out the season shooting 48.3 percent (127-of-263), while leading the team with 54 three pointers … Also dished out 35 assists and picked off 20 steals … Scored in double figures in 19 games, including 20+ in the first two games of the year which led to him being named the NE10 Player of the Week … opened up the season with 31 points vs Staten Island (Nov. 12) and 23 points against D’Youville (Nov. 13), while adding 10 rebounds for a double double against Staten Island … Also dished out a season-high four assists in the second game against D’Youville … Added one more double double on the season, finishing with 12 points and 10 boards against Southern New Hampshire (Feb. 10) … Matched his season-high of four assists while adding 14 points against Saint Rose (Feb. 8).
2020-21:Â 2020-21 season canceled due to CoVID-19 Pandemic ... Earned Academic Distinction accolades on the Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll and named to the New Haven Dean's List following both the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters.
2019-20: Appeared in all 30 games, starting all but one … Fifth on the team averaging 8.1 points per game while second on the team in rebounding at 4.8 rebounds per contest … Closed out the year shooting 48.3 percent from the field, connecting on 85-of-176 field goal attempts, including 45 three pointers, third most on the team … Led the team at the free throw line, making 90 percent of his attempts (27-of-30) … Also dished out 28 assists, picked off eight steals and blocked six shots … Scored at least three points in all but three games, including 12 games scoring in double figures … Included was one game of 20+, setting his career-high in the opening round of the NE10 Championship against Bentley (Feb. 28) … Finished seven games with a minimum of four field goals, while shooting better than .500 in all seven of those games … Pulled down 143 total rebounds, including two games with double figures, setting his career-high against Bentley with 14 points .. Both of those double figure rebound games combined for a double double and both came against Bentley (Jan. 14 & Feb. 28) … Also set a career-high with five assists in the NE10 Semifinal triple OT thriller against Saint Anselm (Mar. 4), adding that to 10 points and six boards … Earned Academic Honors distinction on the Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll following the fall semester.
High School: Graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in 2019 where he played three years of varsity basketball, and was named captain for one season ... Helped his team get to Section 1 Class A State Championship in 2019. Was also named Ductless Country Player of the Year … Aside from basketball Thomas also played football all four years of high school.
Personal: Son of Shanna Thomas … Received a Bachelor of Science in exercise science in January 2024 … Currently pursuing a Master of Science in sport management.
