Sports Medicine Visiting Team Information
The Sports Medicine staff at the University of New Haven is looking forward to your team’s visit to our campus for the upcoming contest.
The athletic training room is located on the lower level of the Charger Gymnasium. Should you have any questions regarding your visit to the University of New Haven, feel free to contact us at (203) 932-7407.
Equipment
Water, injury ice (with bags), crutches/splints, whirlpools, and moist heat packs ONLY.
*water bottles will need to be brought by your team
Treatments
The training room will be open an hour and a half prior to the first match for taping and treatments; after that, a certified athletic trainer will be available in the gymnasium.
- Unless your team has an ATC accompanying them, we cannot accommodate the need for electrical stimulation and ultrasound. Please plan accordingly.
- Modalities will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
- Please provide a kit with supplies for your team.
- If an ATC is not traveling with your team, written request from team ATC or physician must accompany the athlete, detailing specific treatment parameters. A coach's permission is NOT acceptable.
- OTC anti-inflammatory medication will NOT be available. Teams will need to provide their own.

An ambulance for emergencies will go through Campus Police at (203) 932-7014
