 A four-years starter at Alleghany College, Ella O’Connor joins the University of New Haven Field Hockey staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach under the tutelage of Head Coach Margaret Maclean.

A two-time All-Conference honoree, O’Connor completed her collegiate career with 10 goals and 12 assists for 32 points and was selected by her peers as the Most Valuable Player Offensive Player. Additionally, her strengths on the field combined with her success in the classroom led to back-to-back National Field Hockey Academic Squad honors.

Prior to concluding her career on the field, O’Connor began setting up a career in coaching as an office assistant at her alma mater where she assisted in recruiting future Gators through initiating contact and sending letters to recruits and potential players. Following her graduate, she continued to work with the Alleghany coaching staff, completing an internship where she collaborated with the coaching staff to develop and execute training sessions, observed and analyzed athlete performance and provided feedback to support individual and team growth.
