Charles Fowler

Charles Fowler joined the UNH coaching staff as an assitant coach where he has work with the wide receivers prior to the 2009 season. During the ‘09 season, Fowler saw his receiver corps explode as one of the most feared in the Northeast-10 Conference. Fowler coached an All-Conference Second Team selection and two All-Rookie Team selections in his first collegiate coaching season.

Prior to coming to New Haven, Fowler was a four-year member of the Marist College football team, earning Second Team All-League defense honors from his defensive end position. Following his playing career, he began coaching at Woodland High School and helped guide the team to two Class SS State Championships. During his time at Woodland, Fowler also served as the strength and conditioning coach for the team. In 2007, Fowler accepted an assistant coaching and position at Shelton High School to work with wide receivers and defensive ends.

Since 2005, Fowler has been an assistant coach for the annual New Haven-Fairfield County All Star Game, and served as an offensive coordinator in 2008.

A graduate of Marist College, Charles currently teaches biology at Shelton High School where he also coaches boy’s lacrosse. In 2006, he earned his master’s degree from the University of Bridgeport in secondary education.
