Dan Silva begins his first season as the Director of Football Operations under head coach Chris Pincince. While serving as the Director of Operations for the football team, Silva is pursuing his Master’s in Sports Management from the University.
Silva’s most recent stint before joining the Chargers was as a personnel/operations assistant for the Indianapolis Colts. With the Colts, his responsibilities included coordinating the logistics of a three-day event for NFL prospects.
Silva’s previous collegiate football experience comes from serving six seasons as the Director of Operations for the University of Rhode Island football team from 2007-12. In that role, Silva served as a liaison to administrators in the areas of facility usage, budgets, equipment, housing, compliance, academics, video and field maintenance.
In addition, Silva planned all travel arrangements for a travel party of 75-115 people including bus, flight and hotel reservations as well as planning team meals. Silva also served as the point of contact for all camps and clinics, handling registration, waivers and payments.
Silva graduated from Rhode Island in 2007 with a degree in Communication studies. During his time as an undergraduate with the Rams, he served as the video coordinator for the football team, handling filming and editing duties for practices and games.
