A former All-America cornerback for the Blue and Gold, Desmond Anderson joins the New Haven coaching staff beginning in the 2014 season. Also a graduate student at the University, Anderson coaches the Chargers’ defensive backs.
Anderson led all of Division II with seven interceptions in 2010, completing his career among New Haven’s all-time leaders with 11 career picks. A member of the “Kayo Boyz” who joined the re-instated New Haven football program in 2008, Anderson totaled 197 tackles in his three active seasons with the Chargers.
Anderson was a member of two Northeast-10 Championship teams, including the 2011 squad that reached the NCAA Division II National Quarterfinals. He completed his undergraduate work at the University in 2012 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
