2013 marks the first season for Jon Leible as Assistant Head Coach for the University of New Haven football team and his fourth with the program overall as the Offensive Line Coach.

Since 2010, Leible has shaped an offensive line that has earned 11 All-Northeast-10 honors, including two-time All-America, two-time NE-10 Lineman of the Year and 2011 Gene Upshaw Lineman of the Year Finalist David Stedman. In 2012, the men in the trenches protected an offense that ranked second in the NE-10 in scoring, second in rushing and third in total offense.

Before coming to New Haven, Leible spent 2009 as the offensive and defensive line coach at LaSalle Institute in Troy, N.Y. While at LaSalle, Leible helped guide the Cadets into the postseason with a 9-1 record.

Leible also has coaching experience as part of the University at Albany “Dog Pound” Lineman Camp and the UAlbany Team Camp from 2007-09.

A two-time Northeast Conference Champion, Leible was an offensive lineman from 2004-2008 at Albany. As a senior, he helped guide the Great Danes to the Gridiron Classic as an ECAC FCS All-Star and a Second Team All-Northeast Conference selection. Coach Rossomando served as the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Albany during Leible’s career as a student-athlete.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in History from Albany, Leible went on to play for the arenafootball2 Albany Firebirds as well as the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League.
