John McNair enters his second season on the Chargers’ bench as an assistant for head coach Ted Hotaling. He will assist the coaching staff with on court instruction, recruiting academics and team travel.

A recent graduate of Saint John’s University, McNair was previously the assistant men’s basketball coach at Western Connecticut State University in 2013-14 where he helped lead the Colonials to an 18-8 record. He also enjoyed a short stint as assistant coach at Cheshire High School in 2010-12.

In addition to coaching for the Chargers, McNair is also on the board of directors for the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit organization that looks to better the community.

Currently working towards his Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management, John received his Bachelor’s degree Sport Management from Saint John’s University.
