Marcus Wellman enters his second season as the men's basketball graduate assistant coach in 2011-12.
Monroe, Conn. native and 2005 graduate of Hamden Hall High School, Wellman joined the Chargers after a four-year career at Franklin Pierce University. A four-year starter for the Ravens, Wellman earned Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman. Later in his career, he overcame three knee surgeries and was named the team captain in his senior season.
Wellman played for UNH Hall of Famer, David A. Beckerman at Hamden Hall High School where he captained both the basketball and football teams. He was named to the All-Conference team in both sports as well.
Wellman graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.
