University of New Haven Athletics

Samuel Matteson joined the University of New Haven men’s soccer staff in 2012 and will continue his role as an assistant coach in the 2013 season. Matteson assists Coach Fink with the day-to-day operations of the program both on the pitch and in the office.
 
A graduate student at the University pursuing an MBA in the Management of Sports Industries, Matteson is also a Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Special Events at the David A. Beckerman Recreation Center. He previously interned at in the departments of athletics at the United States Coast Guard Academy and the Stonington Community Center.
 
Matteson is a 2010 graduate of Mitchell College with a degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management.  He was a member of the Mariners’ soccer and tennis teams.
