Shane Curran-Hays

Shane Curran-Hays has joined the University of New Haven men’s soccer staff for the 2013 season. Curran-Hays is a former student-athlete at The University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an intern at Grassroot Soccer/Kick4Life.
 
A former starting goalkeeper as a student-athlete, Curran-Hays has worked with the goalkeeping coach of the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer and served as an instructor at soccer camps at the University of Massachusetts and with Chicago-based EXACT Sports.
 
Curran-Hays was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team as Massachusetts. He made 27 appearances in goal for the Division I Minutemen, including 17 starts as a senior captain in the 2011 campaign. During his career in Amherst, the Minutemen won a pair of Atlantic 10 Conference Championships and made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament, including a trip to the 2007 College Cup.
 
A native of Camp Hill, Pa., Curran-Hays graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, Pre-Med. He was also a member of the Athletic Council and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee of both the University and the Atlantic 10.
