Stephen Sasso begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Chargers.
As a player, Sasso was an All-Conference performer earning Northeast-10 Second Team accolades with New Haven in 2015. For the Blue and Gold last season, he ranked second in NCAA Division II with 7.18 saves per game and was third with 122 total saves while posting four shutouts. He also garnered NE-10 Second Team honors with Southern Connecticut State in 2013.
The son of Marie and Lawrence Sasso, Stephen has one sister, Lauren and one brother, Patrick. His sister was a member of the diving team at both the University of Rhode Island and Southern Connecticut State University.
