Amanda Bickford joined the New Haven Department of Athletics in August 2018 as a Graduate Assistant for External Affairs. She also serves as a volunteer assistant coach for the Chargers’ softball team.
A Dean’s List student in all eight semesters as an undergrad, Bickford graduated from Saint Anselm in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in forensic science and criminal justice, and a minor in chemistry. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Forensic Technology at New Haven.
A two-sport athlete at Saint Anselm, Bickford was a member of both the softball and volleyball teams, earning First Team All-Northeast-10 honors and leading the softball team to a national runner-up finish at the NCAA DII Championships in 2018.
Bickford has undertaken a number of professional endeavors, including serving as an intern for the Bureau of Identification at the New Haven Police Department, and she currently serves as a head coach for the Connecticut Gators softball organization.
