Jason Marino is in his third season coaching with the Chargers after coaching for seven years at Vinal Technical High School in Middletown, Conn. Marino works with the Charger outfielders and hitters, and conducts team drills. He recently completed a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management of Sports Industries at UNH.
Marino was an assistant coach at Vinal Tech for two seasons before taking over as head coach for the following five seasons. Marino was the first coach to take the school to the state Class S tournament, making trips in both 2004 and 2005 with identical 16-6 records. Each year they lost to the eventual state champions. In 2005, the team produced its first-ever All-State player.
Marino also conducts day-to-day operations for the Middletown Adult Softball League, which has approximately 22 teams in three different divisions. Marino played baseball while a student at Vinal Tech, and currently resides in Middletown.
