Leah McIntosh enters her fifth season as an assistant coach with the Chargers in 2019. Most recently an assistant coach at Adelphi, she has seven years of coaching experience at the national, collegiate and club levels.

McIntosh also has an extensive player career, which includes time in the highest level of the Canadian national team. She also played two years with the Whitby Eagles and won the national championship in 2012. She served as a coach and a player as part of the U.V.V European Pro-Fastpitch League.

A 2010 graduate from the University at Albany, she is one of the most decorated pitchers in program history. She was the recipient of the SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar Athletic Award in 2010, while becoming the Great Dane's all-time leader in strikeouts and no-hitters. She was named the NCAA Division I Northeast Region and America East Conference Pitcher of the Year, and was featured in Sports Illustrated "Faces in the Crowd" (5/4/09).
