Ryan Griffin begins his second season with the University of New Haven softball program in 2014. The Chargers won 38 games and reached the NCAA regional championship game in his first season in the dugout last spring.

A graduate of Lock Haven University, Griffin spent two years in the UNH Department of Athletics serving as the Event Management and Facilities Graduate Assistant.

Griffin excelled on the baseball diamond as a center fielder for the Bald Eagles of Lock Haven. He recorded a career on-base percentage of .433 and scored 46 runs his senior season. Those numbers rank him fourth and third, respectively, in Lock Haven’s record books. He also concluded his career ranked in the top 10 in three other statistical categories (walks, hits, stolen bases).

Prior to arriving at New Haven, Griffin served as an instructor for the Pennsylvania Baseball Academy and as an assistant coach in the American Legion league in Norristown, Pa.

A native of Scottsdale, Ariz., Griffin earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Administration in 2011 from Lock Haven. He will graduate in March 2013 from UNH graduate school with a Master of Business Adminstration.
