Richard “Ziggy” Ziegler ’14 was named an Assistant Coach ahead of the 2022-23 season. A graduate of the University of New Haven, Ziegler comes back to his alma mater following one season as an Assistant Coach at Skidmore College.

Overall, Ziegler has over 10 years of experience working with collegiate basketball teams, beginning with his time as an undergrad at New Haven where he spent three seasons as a manager for the Chargers. Among the highlights of his coaching career was the 2015-16 season when he served as a Graduate Assistant for the Michigan State Spartans where his responsibilities included video coordination and exchange and assisting with on-campus recruiting and official visits.

In addition to New Haven and Michigan State, Ziegler also has stops at Western Michigan, Norwich University, Stockton University and his most recent stint at Skidmore. Outside of the college ranks, He also served the Head Coach for the Alexander Basketball Academy Global 14U squad and currently works with the New Jersey Bells.
