Joe Caruso joined the UNH women’s lacrosse coaching staff prior to the 2012 season. Also the varsity lacrosse coach at Joel Barlow High School in Redding, Conn., Caruso’s primary responsibility will be coaching the goalkeepers.
Caruso also features a wealth of lacrosse knowledge through over 10 years of coaching experience. He began his coaching career as a baseball and softball coach for the Shelton American Little League. He progressed into softball and eventually lacrosse in 2003.
He served as the head coach of the junior varsity team at Joel Barlow High School starting in 2004 and in 2008 became the head varsity coach. In three seasons, Caruso tabbed a record of 29-24-1 from 2008 to 2010.
In addition to his high school coaching, Caruso has helped coach teams at the World Class Lacrosse camp at Wesleyan University and as the U-15 girl’s lacrosse coach at the 2010 Connecticut Nutmeg State Games in New Britain.
