Leon Othen joined the University of New Haven women's soccer coaching staff in 2010 and will coach the goalkeepers. Othen brings an extensive coaching and playing resume to UNH.
Also the co-founder of Hands Leading Goalkeeping School, Othen's coaching resume includes stints as a regional director for MLS Camps, goalkeeper coach at Springfield College, head coach of the U14 New England Comets and he currently serves as the North East Coach Region Director of UK International Soccer.
Othen's playing career included time in the English Leagure 1, Ryman League, Malaysia 2nd Division and the Essex Seinor League.
He attended the University of Westminster and earned his degree in Town Planning in 1998.
