University of New Haven Athletics

Joel Rubio joins the University of New Haven for his first season as an assistant coach in 2015. 

Rubio recently completed his playing career at the University of Texas at San Antonio, which saw him make a second straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament. As a doubles player, he was ranked as high as 16th in NCAA Division I by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. 

As an instructor, he spent five seasons at the Arnedo Tennis Club in Arnedo, Spain.
