David Faugno serves as the Director of Sports Performance at the University of New Haven, where he has been a driving force behind the development of one of the premier strength and conditioning programs in the Northeast. Joining the University in 2007, Faugno started the program from the ground up, transforming it into a comprehensive and cutting-edge system for athletic performance. Today, he oversees all aspects of sports performance, including strength and conditioning, nutrition, and sports science, ensuring that student-athletes at all levels are equipped for success both on and off the field.

Faugno has been instrumental in the advancement of sports science at the University of New Haven, with the Peterson Performance Center standing as a testament to his leadership. He played a pivotal role in the design and build-out of this world-class facility, which has become a hub for athlete development. The Peterson Performance Center features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, providing a comprehensive environment for athletes to enhance their performance and recovery.

In addition to his role as Director of Sports Performance, Faugno also serves as an administrator, contributing significantly to the athletic department’s strategic planning and development.
