Jordan Davis enters his first season as the running backs coach for New Haven Football in 2026.
Prior to joining New Haven, Davis served as a graduate assistant at Eastern University in Wayne, Pa. During the 2024 season, he worked as the Eagles’ tight ends coach, overseeing the development of the position group through position-specific instruction, scheme-based drills, film study and advanced technique development.
Davis transitioned to coaching the running backs in 2025, where he guided the development of the MAC’s leading rusher, Jeremiah Avrillen. Avrillen earned Second Team All-Conference honors after finishing 25th nationally in rushing and seventh in the country in rushing touchdowns. Under Davis’ guidance, Eastern’s rushing attack featured the conference’s leading rusher and ranked third in the MAC in total rushing yards. As a team, the Eagles boasted the conference’s top rushing offense while ranking 10th nationally.
A standout running back during his playing career at PSAC powerhouse Kutztown University, Davis was a two-time All-Conference selection in 2021 and 2022 before serving as a team captain in 2023. During his time with the Golden Bears, Davis helped lead the program to two PSAC Championships, an NCAA Regional Championship and an NCAA Division II National Semifinal appearance in 2023.
