Quarterback Ronnie Nelson led the New Haven football team to a 65-7 victory over Northeast-10 rival Assumption on Saturday afternoon. Nelson was 18-of-22 passing for 255 yards and six touchdowns – the most by a Chargers’ quarterback since football returned to UNH in 2009 and one shy of the all-time single-game record. The senior, who did not attempt a pass after the middle of the third quarter, also rushed for 47 yards.
