(10-06-09) SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The University of New Haven men's soccer team fell 5-0 Tuesday afternoon to the nationally ranked No. 18 Le Moyne College Dolphins. With the loss, UNH falls to 1-10 overall and 0-9 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while Le Moyne improves to 9-1-2 overall and 6-1-1 in NE-10 action.

The Dolphins scored in the 14th, 27th, 30th and 33rd minute to take a commanding 4-0 lead after the opening 45 minutes.

The Chargers battled back through the second half and held the Dolphins scoreless until the 89:26 mark when Le Moyne scored their fifth goal of the game.

The Chargers tallied 11 total shots, including seven shots on goal. Freshman Joel Rodriguez led UNH with three shots and one shot on goal. Anthony Romano tallied two shots and two shots on goal. The Dolphins tallied seven saves, while the Chargers did not record a save in the match.

The Chargers return to action on Friday, October 9 when they host Merrimack College at Kayo Field. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
