WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven women's tennis team fell 7-2 Monday afternoon to Assumption College at Amity High School. With the loss, the Chargers fall to 0-6 on the season and in the Northeast-10 Conference. Assumption improves to 2-3 this season.
The Chargers earned points in the match in No. 1 singles and No. 3 singles. Lauren Lyons defeated the Greyhounds No. 1 player 6-0, 6-1 and improved her record on the season. Christina Oiler also recorded a win for the Chargers in No. 3 singles by defeating her opponent 6-4, 6-1.
The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, October 13 when they host Saint Joseph College (Conn.) in a non-conference match at Amity High School. The match is set for 3:30 p.m.
