The University of New Haven women's volleyball team resumes its 2013 Northeast-10 schedule against visiting Le Moyne on Friday evening. The Chargers enter the weekend at 7-3 overall and 2-0 in the NE-10.

Most recently, New Haven swept Post on Wednesday evening at Charger Gymnasium. Amber Cannady (Yonkers, N.Y./Charles E. Gorton) had a pair of match highs with 11 kills and six blocks in the non-conference win. Kaulana Ane (Paia, Hawai'i/Kamehameha) and Annika Hacker (Bayreuth, Germany/Littleton (Colo.)) shared setting duties and each handed out 13 assists, while Kea-Marie Olaso (Kailua, Hawai'i/Le Jardin Academy) and Kristen Lee (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) posted 11 digs apiece.

On the season, Cannady leads the Blue and Gold with 3.51 kills per set and a .366 hitting percentage, ranking second in the Northeast-10 in both categories and topping the conference with a 1.37 blocks per frame. #Ashley Dalton currently slots at fifth in the NE-10 with a .345 hitting percentage, and Olaso ranks third with 0.51 service aces per set.

New Haven's NE-10 victories this season came at Franklin Pierce on Sept. Â 21 and at home against Assumption on Sept. 27. The Chargers are 76-0 all-time in Northeast-10 regular season contests.

Le Moyne is opening its NE-10 slate this Friday after posting an even 6-6 mark in the non-conference schedule. The Dolphins were tabbed for 10th in the Northeast-10 Coaches' Preseason Poll following an eighth-place finish in 2012 with a 16-11 overall record and a 7-8 conference mark.

Andrea Buchanan leads the Le Moyne offense with 2.77 kills per set with Madison Snow contributing 2.66 kills per frame. Megan Maisonet has distributed 8.91 assists per stanza as the Dolphins' primary setter, and Buchanan also heads the back row in her rookie campaign with 3.23 digs per set. As a team, Le Moyne is hitting .165 and holding opponents to a .170 hitting percentage.

After Friday night's meeting with the Dolphins, New Haven will return to action a scant 18 hours late for a tri-match at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. The Chargers play a pair of CACC foes in the City of Brotherly Love – Bloomfield at 1 p.m. and the host Devils at 3 p.m.
