BOX SCORE SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A 32nd-minute goal for host Le Moyne accounted for all of the scoring as the University of New Haven men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision in Tuesday's Northeast-10 Conference match in Syracuse.
Jason Smith (Gales Ferry, Conn./Ledyard) made six saves in goal for the Chargers.

With the loss, New Haven falls to 1-8-1 overall and 1-5-0 in the Northeast-10. The Dolphins improve to 7-3-0 on the season with a 5-2-0 conference mark.

The lone marker in the match came off the foot of Ethan Gunty, whose second goal of the season came at the 32:00 minute mark to put Le Moyne on top, 1-0.

Though Smith's six saves held the one-goal deficit for the remainder of the match, the Chargers managed just one shot on goal – fired by Oscar Johanneson and were outshot, 19-6, overall.

Matthew Silva recorded the clean sheet between the posts for Le Moyne.

Today's contest began a three-match road trip for the Chargers. New Haven will visit Stonehill and Adelphi before returning to Kayo Field on Saturday, Oct. 19 to host Merrimack at 7 p.m. as a part of Homecoming Weekend.
