SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The University of New Haven women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to 13 matches with a three-set sweep at Le Moyne on Saturday morning. Outside hitters
Kristen Lee (Colorado Springs, Colo./Liberty) and
Meghan Kennelly (Detroit, Mich./Eisenhower) combined for 25 kills in the Northeast-10 Conference road victory.

With the win, the Chargers improve to 13-4 overall and 5-0 in the NE-10. The Dolphins drop to 5-10 on the season with a 2-4 conference tally. New Haven took the match by set scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-9.

Lee led all players with 14 kills, hitting .423 (14-3-26) and rounding out her third double-double of the fall with a match-high 11 digs. Kennelly's 11 finishers came on a blistering .733 hitting (11-0-15). The Chargers collectively hit .305 in the sweep.

Adding kills for New Haven were
Kristy Atufunwa (Denver, Colo./Denver East) with five,
Hayley Wilson (Denver, Colo./Overland) with four,
Lexis Peterson (Windsor, N.Y./Windsor Central) with three, and one apiece from
Margo Meteyer (Madison, Wis./Madison West) and
Kaulana Ane (Paia, Hawai'i/Kamehameha). Ane also ran the offense from the setter spot and dished out 28 assists.

Defensively, Lee was the only player in double figures with her 11 digs.
Kea-Marie Olaso (Kailua, Hawai'i/Le Jardin Academy) added nine from the back row, and
Annika Hacker (Bayreuth, Germany/Littleton (Colo.)) had eight. At the net, Atufunwa had a hand in five of the Chargers' seven team blocks – including three solo send-backs. Kennelly got a piece of three New Haven rejections.

Hacker landed three of the Chargers' six service aces, with Lee, Ane and Kennelly also dropping in one winner apiece.

Natalie Casson and Danica Durdines led Le Moyne with seven kills apiece. Megan Maisonet handed out 23 assists for the Dolphins, and Maura Fay had a team-leading eight digs. The hosts were limited to a .090 hitting percentage.

The Chargers continue Northeast-10 action this week with a two-match homestand. The Blue and Gold welcome Saint Rose on Wednesday, Oct. 15 for a 7 p.m. outing and then host Bentley on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.
