WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team dropped its home finale, 4-1, to visiting Assumption on Kayo Field on Tuesday evening. The Charger goal came courtesy of
Sal DiTommaso (Farmington, Conn./Farmington / Central Connecticut State University).

With the loss, New Haven drops to 2-14-0 on the season with a 1-11-0 Northeast-10 record. The Greyhounds improve to 3-10-2 overall and 3-7-2 in conference play.

DiTommaso's goal in his final collegiate match on Kayo Field started the scoring in the 1tth minute.
Louis Greenway Tambini (Nottingham, England/Trinity School) had a shot attempt blocked by an Assumption defender, and the ball caromed to DiTommaso. He finished off the scoring chance to net his third goal of the season. Tambini's assist was his second of the fall.

The 1-0 advantage held into halftime, but the Greyhounds struck twice in the opening minutes following the intermission. Dillon Foley netted the equalizer in the 48th minute, and a 51st minute penalty kick by Troy Lamagna stood up as the game winner.

Assumption tacked on two late insurance goals – unassisted blasts by Ethan Morrow and Matt Gilson – to round out the 4-1 final.
Marc Scelsa (Islip, N.Y./Islip) made four saves for the Chargers over the opening 76:11.
James Pyatsky (Stewart Manor, N.Y./Garden City) completed the effort in the goal and did not face a shot.
Dana King went the distance between the posts from Assumption, registering six saves.
