Women's Tennis Falls to Adelphi, 7-2

BOX SCORE

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven women's tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss Tuesday evening to Adelphi in a Northeast-10 Conference match played at the Yale Indoor Tennis Center.

The Chargers fall to 3-6 overall and in the NE-10 with the loss. The Panthers improve to 10-1 overall and 8-0 in conference action.

New Haven earned points by default in No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. Lindsey Conley (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury ) and Alexandra Sharshakov (Reisterstown, Md./Garrison Forest) were the next closest to earning points for UNH in No. 1 doubles with a loss of 8-3. Conley also won two games in No. 3 singles, but the Panthers were too much for the Chargers and swept seven matches for the duel victory.

After just completing its third match in four days, New Haven has a three-day rest before returning to action at Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, Oct. 4. Match time in Manchester, New Hampshire is set for 1 p.m. UNH also travels to Merrimack on Sunday, Oct. 5 for a 10 a.m. tilt with the Warriors.
