WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team was upended by the Saint Rose Golden Knights 1-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Tuesday afternoon.

With the win, Saint Rose is now 5-5-1 with a 4-3-1 record in the NE-10. The Chargers are 4-8-0 with a 1-7-0 mark in conference play.

The lone goal of the match came in the 11
th minute when Joshua Hanif tapped home a rebound off a shot by Romaine Williamson.

New Haven had a couple of opportunities late in play, coming from
Oscar Johannesson (Hässleholm, Sweden/Hässleholms Tekniska Skola) and
Will Richard (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge), which were both saved by Colin Balkwell and a final attempt by
Aurochit Patnaik (Mumbai, India/St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.)) that went high.

For the match, New Haven outshot Saint Rose 14-13.

The Chargers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7:00 p.m. when they host American International in a Northeast-10 Conference match.
