Women's Soccer Nets Draw at Southern New Hampshire

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The University of New Haven women's soccer team gained a valuable point in the Northeast-10 Conference standings, forging a 0-0 draw against the Southern New Hampshire Penmen on Saturday afternoon.

With the draw, New Haven is now 7-4-3 overall with a 4-4-3 record in conference play. The Penmen are 8-3-2 and are 6-2-2 in the NE-10.

After a scoreless first half, the best chance for either team in the game came in the 58th minute when a strike from Southern New Hampshire's Danielle Humphreys hit the crossbar.

Both teams registered shots during the two overtimes, but both goalkeepers were able to turn aside all the shots.

For the match, Deandra Nash (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) made seven saves for New Haven.

The Chargers return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Queens for a non-conference contest beginning at 3:30 p.m.
