NORTH EASTON, Mass. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team was upended by the Stonehill Skyhawks 3-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Stonehill is now 6-7-2 on the season with a 3-6-2 record in the NE-10. New Haven is 4-10-1 and is 1-9-1 in conference.
Scoreless into the 40th minute, the Skyhwsks struck first when Adam Branco received a through ball from Drew Montano and sent it past the keeper for the 1-0 lead. Stonehill would score twice in the second half to cement the final.
Stephen Sasso (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) made nine saves in the effort for the Chargers.
New Haven returns to action for Senior Day on Tuesday, Oct. 27 against Bentley at Kayo Field in a Northeast-10 Conference contest at 3 p.m.
