WALTHAM, Mass. - The University of New Haven women's tennis team fell to the Bentley Falcons on Sunday afternoon 8-1 in a Northeast-10 Conference match.
With the win, Bentley is now 4-2 both overall and in the NE-10. The Chargers fall to 1-6 overall and in conference play.
New Haven earned a point at third doubles where
Alexandra Sharshakov (Reisterstown, Md./Garrison Forest) and
Caitlyn Burridge (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) defeated Lexie Hinrichs and Olivia von Oldenberg 8-3.
Sarah Burzin (Ivoryton, Conn./Valley Regional) also battled at No. 5 singles, before falling 6-4, 6-4 to Alexia Petruziello.
The Chargers return home on Tuesday, Sept. 29 for a 3:30 p.m. conference match against Saint Rose at Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, Conn.
