WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven women's soccer team hosted the Southern New Hampshire Penmen in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Saturday afternoon, falling 4-0. The Chargers are now 5-8-1 overall and 2-8-1 in the NE-10.
All of the goals were scored in the first half, two of them by Courtney Benson with both of her scores coming in the first 18 minutes. Coming on in the second half in goal,
Kyra Wolonsavich (Beverly, Mass./Beverly) made six saves for New Haven to keep the halftime score intact.
The Chargers return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 18 when they travel to Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. to take on Mercy in a non-conference match. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
