SPARKILL, N.Y. - The University of New Haven men's soccer team got goals from three different players, but the Chargers fell 4-3 to the Saint Thomas Aquinas Spartans in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon. New Haven is now 5-4-1 on the season.Â

·        Rob Poirier (Old Lyme, Conn./Lyme-Old Lyme), Nate Peduzzi (Old Lyme, Conn./Lyme-Old Lyme) and Ben Lamb (Keighley, England/Oakbank) each scored for the Chargers.Â
·        Frank Norosky (Mystic, Conn./Fitch) and Pablo Perez (Medellin, Columbia/West Haven) had assists for New Haven.Â

How it Happened
·        After the Spartans scored the initial goal of the contest less than 10 minutes in, the Chargers responded, tallying on a penalty kick goal from Poirier, his sixth goal of the season.Â
·        Trailing 2-1 at the half, New Haven scored twice in a span of 17 seconds in the 55th minute. At the 54:02 mark, Peduzzi took a feed from Norosky at the top of the area and rocketed it past the keeper to tie the score at 2-2. Shortly after, following a foul against STAC, Perez served a ball into the area where Lamb redirected it home at the 54:19 mark.Â
·        The Spartans tied the match in the 72nd minute on a free kick and scored the game-winner in the 89th minute off a header that came from a scramble in the box.Â
