NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Alexandria Kerr (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) recorded her fourth double-double of the season, but the University of New Haven women's basketball team fell to the Southern Connecticut State University Owls 79-54 in a Northeast-10 Conference game on Wednesday night. The Chargers are now 1-5 overall and 1-3 in the NE-10.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Â Â Â Â Â Kerr led New Haven with 17 points and 10 rebounds. She also added three assists.
- Â Â Â Â Â Khayla Trowell (Temple Hills, Md./Elizabeth Seton Catholic) had a season-high eight points for the Blue and Gold including a pair of three-pointers.
- Â Â Â Â Â Katia Oge (New City, N.Y./Immaculate Heart Academy) had one block, the 14th consecutive game she has rejected a shot.
- Â Â Â Â Â The 13 free throws made by the Chargers were the second most this season. They made 24 shots from the line at Chestnut Hill.
- Â Â Â Â Â New Haven held an 11-8 edge on the offensive glass.
