Kerr Sets Career-High in Rebounds in Setback

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Alexandria Kerr (Montclair, N.J./Montclair) scored 19 points and had a career-high 18 rebounds, but the New Haven women's basketball team fell to the East Stroudsburg Warriors 75-54 in a non-conference game on Wednesday night. The Chargers are now 1-7 on the season.

GAME NOTES:

  •          Kerr's double-double was her fifth of the season. Of her 18 rebounds, 12 were on the offensive end, breaking her own school record. She previously had 11 offensive boards at Georgian Court on Dec. 20, 2015.
  •          Katia Oge (New City, N.Y./Immaculate Heart Academy) had a career-high 11 points to go along with eight rebounds.
  •          Oge had a block in her 16th straight game and Micah Wormack (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) rejected a shot in her seventh consecutive contest.
  •          Kim Talley (Quakertown, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) was solid off the bench with five points and two blocks.
  •          After a close first period, a Khayla Trowell (Temple Hills, Md./Elizabeth Seton Catholic) bucket pulled New Haven to within 27-24 with seven minutes left in the second period. The Warriors went on a run to extend the lead heading into halftime.
  •          Kerr scored 13 of her points in the second half
