MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The University of New Haven baseball team got four innings of shutout relief from
Will Aldam (Danbury, Conn./Berkshire School), but the Chargers were downed by the Wilmington Wildcats 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

On the mound, the Chargers got a solid start from
Kellen Croce (Middlebury, Conn./Gunnery School) who went five innings giving up two earned runs, striking out six. Aldam came on to begin the sixth and held Wilmington to just one hit in four scoreless innings. He walked two and struck out two.
In a game that featured solid pitching, the Wildcats scratched across runs in the second, third and fifth inning with the third inning score being an unearned tally. New Haven had its best scoring opportunity in the fifth when with two out, a pair of walks and an error loaded the bases, but were unable to push across a run.
