WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven Women's Tennis team hosted Assumption College at the UNH Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon, falling to the Greyhounds by a score of 9-0. With the loss, the Chargers drop to to 1-5 on the season, both overall and in conference play. 

In first doubles, Angela Mercurio (Bay Shore, N.Y./Islip) and Caitlyn Burridge (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) fought to an 8-2 setback. In fourth singles, Lauryn Burridge (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) led the Chargers, falling 1-6, 1-6 to her opponent. 

New Haven returns to action again on Thursday, September 22 as the team is set to host Post University at 3:30 P.M. at the UNH Tennis Courts in a non-conference match.
