WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven women's tennis team took on the Bentley University Falcons in a Northeast-10 Conference contest, dropping the match 9-0. With the setback, the Chargers fall to 1-7 overall and are 1-6 in conference play.
New Haven's best effort came at fourth singles where
Lauryn Burridge (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) won the second set, but ultimately fell 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 10-8. Playing at first singles,
Caitlyn Burridge (Center Moriches, N.Y./Center Moriches) battled to a 6-2, 6-3 defeat. In doubles,
Sarah Burzin (Ivoryton, Conn./Valley Regional) and
Shelby Clyne (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) fought to an 8-3 setback.
New Haven is back in action on Sunday Sept. 25 as the Chargers travel north to face off with the Southern New Hampshire Penmen for a Northeast-10 Conference match beginning at 1:00 p.m..
