Chargers Drop NE-10 Contest to Ravens

RINDGE, N.H. – The University of New Haven women's soccer team played an even first half before an early second half flurry allowed the Franklin Pierce Ravens to upend the Chargers 3-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference match on Wednesday afternoon. New Haven is now 4-4-1 on the season and 1-4-1 in the NE-10.

The two teams played scoreless in the first half with the Ravens holding an 8-4 advantage in shots as Deandra Nash (Deer Park, N.Y./Deer Park) made four saves to keep the contest level. In the second half, Franklin Pierce scored three times in the span of six minutes to take a lead they would not relinquish.

The Chargers are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 1 when they host Southern Connecticut State in a Northeast-10 Conference match. Kickoff at Kayo Field is set for 7:00 p.m.
