Bentley responded, scoring 12 of the final 14 points of the frame to take a 44-29 lead into halftime.

Coming out of the locker room, New Haven connected on five of its first 10 shots, two each by Kerr and Katia Oge (New City, N.Y./Immaculate Heart Academy) to keep the game close. Trailing midway through the fourth period, the Chargers went on an 8-0 run, coming on four points from Kerr, two Oge free throws and a Kim Talley (Quakertown, Pa./Lansdale Catholic) jumper to close the gap.
