WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The University of New Haven men's soccer team registered 12 shots against Bentley, but fell in the Northeast-10 match at Kayo Field on Friday evening, 3-0.
Bentley wasted no time, scoring the matches first goal in only the seventh minute against the Chargers. New Haven had the best opportunity to level the score with a one-on-one opportunity between
Nate Peduzzi (Old Lyme, Conn./Lyme-Old Lyme) and Bentley goalkeeper Harrison Rapant, but Peduzzi's shot was saved when Rapant came away from the net to make the stop.

Simao Sousa Branca (Porto, Portugal/Colegio Luso Internacional do Porto) put New Haven's only shot on goal in the second half before Bentley put the game out of reach for the Chargers with a goal in the 86
th minute and another one only 50 seconds later.
New Haven returns to action at Multi-Sport Stadium for an NE-10 match against Assumption. Kickoff for that contest on Wednesday, October 18
th is set for 7:00 pm.
