WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The University of New Haven field hockey team fell to Lindenwood University, 8-0 early Monday afternoon at DellaCamera Stadium.
The Lions scored three quick goals in the first eight minutes of the game, but then the Chargers defense held Lindenwood scoreless for the following 20 minutes. Lindenwood scored two more goals before halftime to take a 5-0 lead.

Natalie Shaker (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) made 17 stops on the afternoon, improving her save total to 218 this season. The Chargers defense faced 14 defensive corners throughout the game.
The Chargers return to DellaCamera stadium for the final home game of the season on Wednesday, October 25 when they host Mercy. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
