GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The University of New Haven women's tennis team fell to Adelphi University in a Northeast-10 conference match at the Adelphi Tennis Courts on Tuesday evening by a 6-3 score.
Sophomore
Shelby Clyne (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) earned a win for New Haven on the afternoon, defeating Vanja Savic in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
New Haven also received two wins by default, as sophomores
Angela Mercurio (Bay Shore, N.Y./Islip) and
Shelby Clyne (Islip Terrace, N.Y./East Islip) got the point at No. 3 doubles. Mercurio also received a point at No. 6 singles.
The Chargers are back in action on their home court this Saturday, October 9
th for a match against Saint Michael's. First serve is slated for 9:00 am against the Purple Knights.
