MANCHESTER, N.H. – The University of New Haven field hockey team took a tough loss to the #3 ranked Saint Anselm Hawks at Grappone Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Natalie Shaker (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) made four saves in the cage before Saint Anselm got on board first in the seventh minute of play. Down by eight at the half, the Chargers held the Hawks to only two goals in the second half to seal the score, 10-0.
Shaker saw 38 shots on goal on the afternoon and made 28 saves for the second time this season, just one short of her season-high. On the season, Shaker has amassed 177 saves, which leads the Northeast-10 and all of NCAA Division II. Shaker is also among the Top 10 in save percentage in the Northeast-10 conference with a .714 mark.
New Haven next begins a three-game stretch of home contests, first as they host the Southern New Hampshire Penmen at DellaCamera Stadium for Senior Day on Saturday, October 21
st at 1:00 pm. The Chargers will then play host to Lindenwood on October 23
rd and Mercy on October 25
th.
