YAPHANK, N.Y. – Jack Zagaja (Merrick, N.Y./St. Dominic) hit a three-run fourth inning home run and Tim Kennedy (Ridge, N.Y./Longwood) delivered his best performance of the season to date as the University of New Haven baseball team downed the Felician Golden Falcons 3-0 in the second game of a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. The Golden Falcons came from behind to win game one 4-3.
Kennedy was masterful in picking up his second win of the season. He struck out nine in seven innings of work, pitching his first career complete game.
Offensively, New Haven had three players with multi-hit days. Tom Walraven (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) had three hits and reached base safely four times.
