· Nicole Belanger (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) would extend the Chargers early goal when she connected with Jessica Mazliah (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem North) just shy of four minutes into the action.
· Caitlin O'Brien (Branford, Conn./Branford) regained a two-goal lead for the Chargers when she scored an unassisted tally with 19:28 remaining. found the back of the goal
· Cietek then ended a six-goal rally for the Skyhawks that resulted in a 7-3 deficit for New Haven with 10:31 remaining before the break. Cietek's goal was the first of two-straight for New Haven and came off a feed from Mazliah. MacKenzie Reh added the second straight goal for the Blue and Gold when she scored on a free position attempt with 6:43 remaining in the half.
· New Haven would then end the half the same way they started the game, scoring two straight goals before the intermission. The first of those came Samantha Galler (Marshfield, Mass./Marshfield) as she connected with Mazliah who provided her third helper of the half. Hailey Rattigan (Hicksville, N.Y./Holy Trinity) then cut the deficit to one at the break when Reh fed her for the score with six seconds remaining.
· After the halftime break, the Skyhawks would go on to score three of the first four goals, with the lone tally in that stretch for the Blue and Gold coming from Mackenzie Reh (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) who scored on a free position attempt for the second time on the night.
· With just over 10 minutes remaining, Cietek began a run of her own, scoring three straight unassisted goals to knot the game at 11 with 4:44 remaining. Her second in the run came as she drove straight down the heart of the arc and fired to the lower half of the net from just outside the crease. For the equalizer, which came 70 seconds later, Cietek came across the arc and fired from left to right, again striking in the bottom of the net.
· Both teams had shot attempts in the first three minutes of extra time with Erica Rinsky (North Caldwell, N.J./West Essex) coming up big for the Chargers as she stopped a shot that skidded across the turf. Over the second three minutes in the first OT, the Skyhawks managed the only shot which came on a free position attempt with three seconds remaining and went wide of the goal.
· Rinsky would again provide a critical stop, this time less than 20 seconds into the Second OT frame when she stopped a point blank free position shot. She would provide one more save on a Stonehill attempt, which 18 seconds later Rattigan turned into the game-winning goal when she scored on a free position shot.
